Jorge is from Guatemala City, Guatemala, and has lived in the US since 1982. He started playing Cello thanks to the amazing public school music programs in Cleveland, Ohio. A year later, when Jorge was 13, the school purchased an upright bass and asked him if he wanted to play it (he has been playing bass ever since).

He has lived in Miami, Florida, Cleveland Ohio, and even went to high school in Houston, Texas. Jorge majored in Physics at the University of Arkansas. He’s been all over the country!

Jorge graduated from LSU dental school in 1998. Here in New Orleans, Jorge has played with The Moonlighters, Swingroux, and the Funkey PawPaws. He currently plays with the choir at St. Joseph Church.
